Applicant must possess or qualify for a Valid California Education Specialist Credential, authorizing instruction for the Visually Impaired. Orientation and mobility certification is highly desirable.

Original transcripts will be required at time of hire for salary placement. Certificated Teacher Salary Schedule can be found on our website: www.lakecoe.org under Human Resources. Benefits: Regular Certificated employees assigned a position of at least 30 hours per week qualify for employer paid benefits, on a prorated share basis, based on full time equivalency. Annual benefit cap for full time employees in the amount of $13,000. Benefits may include: medical, prescription, dental, and vision for employee and all eligible dependents, based on the Tier coverage selected by the employee. Employee out of pocket contribution amount will vary based on the selection. The employee may purchase coverage through a 125 cafeteria plan. Employer paid term life insurance for employee only. Employee will be a member of the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) if employed 3.5 hours per day or more on a regular basis. LCOE does not participate in the Social Security system if employee is a member of CalSTRS.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
